Intercovamex was founded in 1991 in Mexico by Jean-Marc Zisa who previously worked as an engineer at Riber France and Cameca in USA. Intercovamex started as a distributor of scientific instruments and became the representative of world leading manufacturers on vacuum technology, leak detection, and materials characterization like: RIBER, MKS, PFEIFFER VACUUM, ADVANCED ENERGY, BROOKS AUTOMATION, ANNEALSYS, KURT J. LESKER, C-THERM, HORIBA SCIENTIFIC, PARK SYSTEMS, THERMO SCIENTIFIC, KLA TENCOR, SETARAM, NANOSURF, CSM INSTRUMENTS, RHK TECHNOLOGY Y ADVANCED RESEARCH SYSTEMS.
In 1994, Intercovamex started to design and assemble in Mexico high vacuum deposition systems for R&D. Intercovamex has become the leader in Latin America in PVD and CVD thanks to the modularity, versatility, highest components quality of its systems and because of its local experienced technical support capabilities. In 2011 Intercovamex started to export to Europe and Oceania. Hundreds of scientific papers have been published by users of Intercovamex systems.
